Rubis has recorded a strong increase in sales-revenues during the fourth quarter ending December 2008: €329 million, up +26%. At constant structure, sales-revenues growth reaches 13%.
Rubis has reported continuous progresses and performances, taking advantage of falling oil prices and strong demand in storage and logistics revenues. Rubis’ business profile – primary energy demand and basic products logistics – is proving quite immune from the depressed economic conditions.
During full year 2008, Group’s sales-revenues step over the one billion figure, reaching €1 193 million, up 40% over 2007.

LPG and fuels distribution – Rubis Energie
With recorded sales-revenues of €246 million, volumes traded at final distribution level on fourth reached 192 000 tonnes-cbm, up19%. At constant perimeter (excluding Channel Islands contribution) volumes are quite stable across the three geographical zones: Europe (-0.5%), Caribbean (+1.1%) Africa (-2.9%). The collapse in oil prices since July 2008 has had a positive impact on the Group by allowing progresses in unit margin and reducing considerably customer’s relative cost of energy.
Bulk liquid storage- Rubis Terminal
Storage rental-revenues, Rubis Terminal main profit contributor, recorded an acceleration of its activity across its segments and more particularly on fertilizers and edible business.-. Rental revenues in France are up 15%, while increased contribution from the brand new terminal of Rotterdam brings global revenues performance up 29%.
Over full 2008 year, total rental-revenues are up 15% at €78 million.
During fourth quarter 2008, total branch sales-revenues increased by 50% boosted by wholesale activity, up 70% at €61 million.
